Warren Dale Hamby

Warren Dale Hamby, 65, was born May 24, 1961, in New Braunfels, Texas, and passed away on August 13, 2026. A beloved and cherished man, Warren will be remembered with deep respect for a life marked by steady devotion, quiet bravery, and faithful service to God and to those he loved. He lived in Willis, Texas.

In his early years, Warren moved to Conroe, where he grew up and built the foundations of the hard-working, honest life he would later be known for. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1979 and went on to graduate from Texas State Technical College in 1985—steps that reflected both his diligence and the thoughtful care he brought to every responsibility.

Warren devoted his working life to skilled and exacting work, approaching each task with the precision of a perfectionist and the integrity of someone who believed in doing things the right way. He worked for 19 years and 4 months at SPX Houston as a manufacturing Engineer, then at Varel International as a numerical control programmer, and later retired from Halliburton in 2020 as a numerical control programmer. His career reflected resilience, wisdom, and a steady commitment to excellence that inspired those who worked alongside him.

On November 13, 2021, Warren married Edith Beckworth Hamby. Together, they made their home in Willis, Texas, and shared a happy life until his passing—one shaped by loyalty, gentleness, and the kind of selfless love that is felt more than it is spoken.

Warren’s interests were simple and sincere. He loved nautical things, reading, and working in the yard. Yet above everything else, he loved the Lord and His word. His faith was not merely personal; it was active and generous, guiding the way he treated others and the way he sought to encourage and uplift those around him.

He served his church communities with compassion and dedication, participating in the Ministry Team at Bethel North West Fellowship in Tomball, Texas. Before that, he was involved in the Ministry Team of Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Coldspring, Texas. In these roles, Warren consistently put God first and did his best to share God’s word with others, offering steady kindness and a faithful presence that many came to rely upon.

Warren was preceded in death by parents Everett Dale Hamby and Billie Ruth Hamby. He is survived by his loving wife Edith Ellen Hamby; sister Mona Hamby and husband Randy Stephens; children Darren Hamby and wife Monica, and James Hamby; step children, Rose Davila and husband Charles Davila, Jr., Justin Essary and wife Lauren; grandchildren, Ellie Hamby, Breanna McGath-Davila, Tiffany Davila, Charlie Davila, Cole Essary, Silas Essary, Jordan Essary, and Sophia Essary; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Warren leaves a legacy of kind-hearted strength, thoughtful generosity, and faithful example—one that will continue to comfort and inspire all who were blessed to know him.
