Yvonne Williams, 88, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 10, 1937, Yvonne lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved.Yvonne was a devoted cousin, aunt, and friend whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated many years of her professional life to John Jay College, where she served as an assistant to the President. She was admired for her professionalism, dedication, and commitment to her work.Yvonne shared an especially close bond with her beloved sister, Diana, who preceded her in death. Together they enjoyed traveling and creating cherished memories, and their adventures remained some of Yvonne's happiest moments. Their love for one another was unwavering, and Diana's memory remained close to Yvonne's heart throughout her life.She found joy in spending time with her family and loved shopping trips, lunches together, afternoons at the park feeding the birds, and sharing her creativity through sewing and crocheting. She delighted in teaching others these skills, patiently encouraging creativity and craftsmanship. She also had a sweet tooth and was especially fond of red velvet cake and homemade custard.To her family, Yvonne was a constant source of love, encouragement, and comfort. She celebrated every meal that was cooked for her with genuine gratitude and pride, and she cared for those around her with remarkable generosity and warmth. Her kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.Yvonne's greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain with her family forever.She is survived by her nephews, Sunny and Matthew; her cousins, Patricia Hughbanks, Donna Hughbanks, and Denise Khatri; Denise's daughter, Nisha; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
