Zelda McCalla, 94, was born in Barbados and grew up in Nevis WI, and passed away in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
Zelda was born in Barbados to Archibald Giles and Florence Weeks on October 28, 1931. She married to the late Gersham McCalla on July 1, 1963 in Birmingham, England. She worked as a housewife, secretary, and finally a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was deeply involved in the church and read her bible on a daily basis.
Zelda is preceded in death by 5 siblings: George, Cyril, Errol, Edmond, Myrtle.
Zelda is survived by daughters Lorna and Donna, grandchildren Gina, Kyle, Jeremy, and Erin, great granddaughter Ariah.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 10:00am on Monday June 1, 2026 at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home & Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
