It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Arlene Elizabeth Wilson on October 9, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by her family.
Born in Liverpool, England, Arlene was the daughter of the late Charles Wilson and Elizabeth Pinches.
She was the loving mother of Mark Leblanc (Karen Mitchell) and Sandra LeBlanc, and proud Nanny to Jamie Leblanc (Matthew Cup), Giselle Ashmore and Rachelle Ashmore.
Arlene courageously emigrated to Canada at the age of 19. Growing up in Liverpool and surviving the Blitz, she enjoyed skating and dancing. She could often be found dancing with friends at the legendary Cavern Club, famous for its association with the Beatles. An amateur actress, she loved performing in productions with the Otterburn Park Players.
Arlene will be fondly remembered by her cousins in England, her many friends and her former colleagues at Concordia University.
The family extends its sincere thanks to the staff at Résidence Saint-Raphaël for the care and kindness they provided Arlene over the past two years.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Voluntas, 4695 Boulevard Saint-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m., with a reception afterwards.
For those unable to attend, the funeral service will be streamed online. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Arlene’s memory would be appreciated.
