Bernice Yeary

Bernice Yeary, age 89, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 28, 2026.Throughout her life she was a devoted follower of Christ and a beloved wife and mother. She faithfully served at Morningside Baptist Church for 51 years. She loved to have company come to visit, gardening, cooking and gospel music. She was always servant minded, thinking and helping others. Her friends would said "she is a jewel".She was preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Bertha Pillion; husband of 67 years, Elza Yeary; son Michael Yeary and brothers: Cecil and Ray Pillion.Bernice is survived by her sons: Gary and Randall (Cristian) Yeary; grandchildren: Dorian Yeary, Tyler Yeary, Erik Yeary and Patricia (Bradly) McTyre and great grandchildren: Elio McTyre and Daniel Yeary. Brothers: Oscar, Estel and Pascal Pillion and sisters: Gerlene Jones and Cathy Sowders.Visitation with her family will be on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Harold Noe officiating. Graveside and interment services following in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
