Coleton Michael Newman, of Meeker, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in North Carolina. He was 20 years old.
Coleton was born the son of Lucas and Amanda Newman on December 8, 2005, in Tucson, Arizona. He attended preschool to 7th grade in Milliken, Colorado. Coleton and his family moved to Meeker where he attended school, graduating with the Meeker High School class of 2024.
He was a specialist with the United States Army 2504 White Devils Hatchet Company with the 82nd Airborne stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Coleton loved playing football, going hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle, and jumping out of airplanes.
He is survived by his parents, Luke & Amanda Newman; his siblings, Lilly and Westin Newman; maternal and paternal grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends in multiple communities. A memorial service will be held at the Meeker High School football stadium, all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Coleton's memory to the Meeker High School football team.
