David Everett Boatman, 83, passed away on June 14, 2026. Born on August 17, 1942, David will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him. A beloved presence in the lives of his family and friends, he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to be felt for generations. David was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Cissy Boatman; his children, Michael Boatman (Jennifer), John Boatman (Carroll), Robin Severance (Mike), and Justin Speakman (Lola); his bonus daughters, Kim Johnson (Bubba) and Sherri Jacocks (John); and Terri Hall (Eric). He is also lovingly remembered by Thirteen Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Boatman, and his parents, John and Mary Boatman.
In honoring David Everett Boatman’s life, those who loved him will carry forward the steady warmth of his memory and the lasting gratitude for having shared in his time on earth.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 2:00pm ~ 5:00pm with the Celebration of Life starting at 5:00pm all at Rosedale Baptist Church 503 Rosedale Avenue Nashville, TN 37211. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to Alive Hospice.
