Dolores Frances Hall

Dolores Frances Hall (87) passed away in her sleep on August 13, 2026 after fighting complications following a fall in June. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Leon Hall. Dolores is survived by her eldest daughter, Karen Samblanet, Karen’s husband, Phillip Samblanet, their son Thomas Samblanet, his wife Delia Bakeman, their son Anthony Samblanet, by Karen and Phil’s daughter, Lauren Samblanet, her husband, Usama Alshaibi, and their child Muneera Alshaibi, and by Dolores’s daughter Amy Hall Spegal and her husband Timothy Spegal, and by her sister, Patricia Baker and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was born on December 12, 1938, to Agnes and John Prentki. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland with three sisters and a brother and loved to tell stories of taking the public bus around town and going to movies and dances with her cousins and friends. She graduated from Saint Michael’s Business School in 1955, and later earned a high school equivalency from the State of Ohio (1982). After graduation, she worked at a hospital in the medical records department. Later she worked at the Glen L. Martin Company where she met her future husband, Bob, while transcribing lesson plans and notes for those teaching classes. They were married on May 10, 1958, and soon began to travel as Bob’s jobs took them to all over the US as well as France and Germany. Later they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where they raised their girls and Dolores worked in retail. Active members of their church, Dolores and Bob volunteered in numerous ways. Dolores especially loved singing in choir and teaching Sunday School. In retirement, they moved back to Virginia to be near family. Bob passed unexpectedly in 1996, and when work moved Dolores’s daughters and their families to Colorado, Dolores soon followed.

Throughout her life Dolores enjoyed dancing, travelling, and crafting, including flower arranging. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. She enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley. She was an avid reader, proudly identified as a “Trekkie” and lover of science fiction, although lately she preferred BBC TV murder mysteries. In recent years, she was a member of Long’s Peak United Methodist Church, and was active with the Mead seniors, enjoying field trips and lunches with friends.
