Dominic Jerry Diclementi

Dominic “Jerry” DiClementi passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 79.Jerry was born on October 12, 1946, arriving 45 minutes before his twin brother, Donald J. "Jim" DiClementi. He was baptized in December 1946, received his First Holy Communion in May 1955, and was raised in the Catholic faith. He graduated from high school in June 1965 before proudly serving his country in the United States Coast Guard from August 1965, until August 1969.On June 5, 1971, Jerry married Jeannie Thompson, and together they welcomed two children, David J., born in March 1973, and Kellie A., born in January 1981. Although their marriage later ended in divorce, Jerry remained proud of his children and was always actively involved in their lives.Committed to lifelong learning, Jerry earned an associate degree in Electronic Technology in May 1972. He was known for his technical skills, work ethic, determination, and willingness to help others.Jerry’s greatest joy came from being a father. He coached his son David’s Little League baseball teams, teaching lessons that went far beyond the game itself — teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. He was also deeply involved in his daughter Kellie’s gymnastics journey, dedicating countless hours supporting her practices, competitions, and accomplishments. Through his involvement with the gymnastics community, Jerry became affectionately known as “Mr. Fix It”. It was a name that perfectly fit him because he was the person everyone called when something broke. Whether it was repairing equipment, solving a problem, or finding a way to make something work, Jerry was always willing to lend a hand and help those around him.Jerry believed in serving his community. From the mid-1970s through 1986, he was an active member of the Northglenn Jaycees, where he served a term as chapter president. He valued the friendships he made and the opportunity to contribute to his community.Those who knew Jerry will remember not only what he did, but who he was. He had a way of bringing joy to everyday moments — whether it was starting his morning with a cup of coffee and a little dancing around the house or office and sharing one of his famous corny jokes that made everyone smile (and sometimes groan). His sense of humor, kindness, and willingness to help others were some of the qualities that made him so special.Jerry will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his commitment to his community, and his generous spirit. He had a unique ability to make people feel supported, whether through coaching, helping with a project, or simply being there when someone needed him.Jerry is survived by his sister Kathy Davidson (John Davidson); his son, David DiClementi (Maria DiClementi); his daughter, Kellie Ogle (Alan Ogle), his 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic DiClementi (1975) and Frieda DiClementi (2001); his brothers, Donald “Jim” DiClementi (1978) and Michael DiClementi (2019).
