Dorothy Ann “Dot” Garner of Booneville, passed away peacefully, on July 14, 2026, at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville, Mississippi. She was born on September 14, 1933, to William “Bill” and Ruby Stockton Lauderdale in Prentiss County, Mississippi.
Dot married Charles “Red” Garner on December 27, 1948, and remained married until death parted them when Red passed away 58 years later on January 16, 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Garner and wife Nancy of Kalispell, Montana and Bill Garner and wife Linda of Jackson, Missouri; two daughters, Lisa Stevens of Booneville, and Stephanie Gable and husband Jeff of Diamondhead, Mississippi; ten grandchildren: Elise Garner, Liz Garner, John Jason Garner, Emily Iwata (Dane), Bee Gable (Val), Katie Garner, Leah Galloway (Brett), Madison Gable, Grace Gable (Abby), and Lainey Stevens; three great-granddaughters, Bailey Garner, Megan Garner, and Lucy Iwata; and one sister, Hilda Pierce (Linden).
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her great-granddaughter, Sloane Alexandra Galloway; two brothers, Charles Wayne and Cecil Lauderdale; and one sister, Nila June McCoy.
