Estelle Falk

Estelle Falk, age 99, of Hillsboro Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, after a brief illness.

Estelle was born on April 22, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jules and Jeanette Natt (nee: Wertheim). She was a longtime resident of East Hills, New York before making her home in Hillsboro Beach, Florida.

She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY College at Old Westbury. Estelle was deeply committed to helping others, volunteering extensively in literacy programs and later working as a career placement advisor.

Throughout her life, Estelle was passionate about social justice. She actively supported the civil rights movement, participated in anti-war protests, and believed strongly in equality and service to others.

A woman of many talents and interests, Estelle enjoyed sculpting, needlework, reading, and participating in book clubs and adult education. She also loved to travel and treasured the experiences and friendships she made along the way.

Estelle was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Seymour Falk, and by her brother, Jerome (Jerry) Natt.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Barbara Barbour and her husband Peter Barbour of Lake Oswego, Oregon, and Janet Falk-Kessler and her husband Steven Kessler of Cortlandt Manor, New York; her five grandchildren, Joshua Barbour (Melissa Barbour), Jonathan Barbour (Amy Dao), Samuel Barbour (Sharlene McGrath), Rebecca Kessler Vodnick (Aaron Vodnick), and Daniel Kessler (Emily Fox); and her ten great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, kindness, and example.

Her warmth, generosity, and dedication to family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
