At Hôtel-Dieu, on July 27, 2026, at the age of 92, Mme Maria Chênevert, wife of Mr. Léon McNicoll, who lived in Windsor, passed away. She was the daughter of the late Aldéa St-Onge and the late Emmanuel Chênevert.
The family will receive condolences at the Windsor Funeral Residence, 310 St-Georges Street, on Wednesday, September 9 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, September 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration will take place in the lounge on Thursday, September 10 at 11:00 AM.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her children: Patrick, John (Céline Lalonde), Hélène (Michel Laverdière), Julie (Tony Rousseau); her seven grandchildren: Valérie Laverdière (François Harvey), Samuel Laverdière (Valery Doré), Cédric Lalonde-McNicoll (Joannie Rocheleau), Kim Laverdière (Sébastien Cousineau), Janie Lalonde-McNicoll (Mathieu Courchesne), Philippe Rousseau (Rose-Marie Hébert), Emmanuelle Rousseau (Tommy Lemieux); her great-grandchildren: Laurent, Annabelle, Rachel, Frédérique, Adam, Pierre, Loïc, Léo, Louis, Evelyne, Sasha, Élie, Mathilde, and the last en route Jules.
She was the sister of: Thérèse (deceased Roger Rousseau), the late Noëlla (deceased Robert Faucher), the late Lina (deceased Robert Arel), the late Loretta, Andréa (deceased Noël Bruneau), the late Onil, the late Joseph (deceased Gyslaine Massé), the late Cécile, Hélène (deceased Robert G. Noble), Renald, the late Luc (Marianne Boulay), Lucien (Francine Bourdeau), Maurice (Francine Côté), the late Claude (Rolande Perras), Denis (Ginette Parker), Lucie (Marcel Custeau); the sister-in-law of: the late Irène (deceased Lucien St-Laurent), the late Arthur-Eugène (deceased Rita Martineau), the late Jean-Marie (deceased Monique Demers), the late Georgette, the late Georges (deceased Solange Rhainds), the late Clément (deceased Pâquerette Desgagné), the late Pâquerette (Jean-Charles Morin), the late Annette (deceased Antoine Lavoie) and the late Paul (Lise Florent). She also leaves many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
