Mary Ann Moore, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 1, 2026.Born in Knoxville on September 7, 1947, Mary Ann was a woman of profound faith who spent her life witnessing to others through music and prison/jail ministries. She was a devoted, longtime member of Lionheart Restoration Ministries, and her deep love for her church was matched only by her love for her family. She retired after a 32 year career with Summit Medical Group as a Medical Records Supervisor. She will be remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Thelma Eleam.Those left to cherish and celebrate her memory include her daughters, Brandye Simcox of Knoxville, and Wendy (Johnnie) Sharp of Birmingham, AL; her beloved grandsons, Micah Simcox (Stephanie), Joseph Simcox, and Jackson Sharp; her sister, Diane Loy (Walter “Wally” Burnett) of Knoxville; and her brother, Rev. Jack (Rhonda) Eleam of Speedwell, TN; as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at UT Medical Center for their exceptional, compassionate care during Mary Ann's hospitalization.
