Natalie A. Papalia

Natalie Ann Papalia (née Oliveri), 85, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in Closter, NJ.

Natalie was previously a resident of Cliffside Park before living in Closter.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Papalia, in 2024, and her son Michael Papalia in 1990. Natalie is survived by her devoted son David Papalia; her brother Anthony Oliveri and his wife Christiane; her niece Lisa and her husband Michael; and her nephew Michael. She will also be deeply missed by many loving family members and friends.

Natalie was a proud graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest and Berkley Secretarial School. She built a successful career as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker, where she worked for over 25 years, with clients and colleagues she adored.

Natalie cherished time spent with her large circle of friends and enjoyed an active social life that included the swim club, playing cards, cooking, wine tasting, reading, and sewing. She had many fond memories spending time in Long Branch by the beach with her beloved friends. Her warmth and vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s RC Church in Closter, Natalie found solace and community in her faith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ. Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, August 20, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s RC Church in Closter, NJ. Interment will take place at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org). Natalie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
