Patrick was born on May 21, 1935, to the late Dow and Florence (Strickland) Shadburn. He was a hardworking man who dedicated 27 1/2 years of service to Mississippi Polymers and was a member of the SOAR Chapter of Retirees. He was a founding member of the Rienzi Rescue Squad.
Patrick found joy in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, riding his lawnmower, and attending church.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 8, 2026, at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Pete Perry, Elder Gary Cordes and Elder Steve Laggett officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ruth Shadburn; his children, Roger (Kellie) Shadburn, Dennis (Sherry) Shadburn, Jerry (Paula) Robinson, and Cherie Huguley; grandchildren Jeremy Huguley, Brianna (Landon) Elliott, Dillon Robinson, Dustin (Shamiya) Moreland, Devin Moreland, Chris (Kindra) Shadburn, Elijah (Natalie) Shadburn, Wesley Shadburn, William Shadburn, Tori Bridges, Hunter Shadburn, Hayden Shadburn, Andy Bridges, and Ailey (Kyle) Shadburn; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Geraldine Shadburn Richardson; sister-in-law Bobbie Shadburn; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Gypsy Moreland; grandson, DJ Shadburn; brothers, Glen Shadburn, Jimmy Shadburn, Billy “Coonie” Shadburn, and Tommy Shadburn; and sister, Wanda Shadburn.
