Roberty Jeffery Pate, 57, of Kingsport, unexpectedly went to his Heavenly home on July 3, 2026.
He attended Indian Springs Baptist Church and loved the Lord, his family, his church, his fur babies, Chilli and Henry, and nearly any sport, especially Tennessee Titans football and NASCAR.
He was a lifelong Elvis fan and loved putting on concerts for all the neighborhood kids when he was a little boy.
He was a 1987 graduate of Sullivan Central High School. After graduation, he moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a musician.
He traveled across the country as a drummer with different bands for several years, doing what he loved most, playing the drums.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvette, and his father, Kenneth Pate.He is survived by his mother, Brenda Pate, and his brother, Randy Pate; two stepchildren, Candace and Felicia; four step-grandchildren, Baliee, Jocelyn, Lilly, and Genesis.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Aaron Rayburn officiating. Committal services will be held that afternoon at 3:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the committal are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 2:50 P.M.
