Sharon Polhamus

Sharon Polhamus passed on May 27, 2026, at the age of 81, having been born on August 31, 1944, and residing in Stafford, Virginia.She is survived by her son, Edgar Porter III (Tracy); her granddaughter, Katie Hannigan (Mike); her step granddaughters, Jennifer Martin (Ben) and Amanda Lion (Craig); and her great grandchildren, Leo, Greyson, and Max.Sharon will also be greatly missed by her sister, Mary Ann Gardner (Frank) and her brothers, Thomas Marshall Lavinus Jr., Bruce David Lavinus, Phillip Steven Lavinus, and Patrick Allen Lavinus.Sharon spent many years as a hairdresser and then found her calling of being a bus monitor for special needs children for Stafford County Public Schools. She also enjoyed crafting, crocheting, thrift shopping and gardening. However, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family.Although her passing brings heartache, her family finds comfort in knowing she has reunited with her parents, Thomas Marshall Lavinus and Mildred Louise Allen; her brother, Gary Lavinus; and her beloved husband of 49 years, James "Jim" Polhamus; all who passed before her.
