Steven Nador

Montréal, Quebec Paperman & Fils

It is with great sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of Steven "Moki," "Pajaro," Nador. He was a kind, generous, wise and adventurous father, husband and friend. Surrounded and loved by his wife of 43 years Cathy Nador (nee Cox); as well as his children: Jeff (Stéphanie), Derrek, and Rachel (Émilie) Nador and his many friends.

Steven was born in La Paz, Bolivia, to the late Arthur Nador and the late Hanne-Liese Grischmann, who fled the turmoil of naziism in Europe. "El Pajarito" then migrated north: first to New Jersey and then to Montreal, where he built a full and fulfilling life.

Ever the storyteller, he was never at a loss for a riveting yarn. He will be sorely missed by all those whose lives his stories touched.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Wednesday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Memorial Park Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his home following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations in Steven’s memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation (514) 340-8251 or click here .
