Alan A. Wohlfield of N. Ridgeville, Ohio, age 86, went home to be with his precious savior, Jesus Christ. After a struggle with cancer, he died at home surrounded by his loved ones on August 22, 2026.
Born on November 15, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, Alan was the loving husband of Gerry Wohlfield; devoted father to Alan (Dona) John Wohlfield, Erin Johannsen, and Thomas A. (Cheryl) Wohlfield; caring grandfather to Spenser, Alan M., James, Anna, Taylor (Domo), Gage (Izzy), Vivianne and Jesse; caring great-grandfather to Abbie, Zoey, and Sienna; treasured brother to Lorene Murray of Sun City Center, Florida; cherished son of the late Albert and Edith Wohlfield; and beloved cousin and uncle to many.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Alan will always be remembered for his love of cars, and being a kind, supportive neighbor to his community.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 10:30AM at Harvest Christian Church 626 Lorain Blvd, Elyria, Ohio, 44035. Alan will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Alan will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
