On June 9th in the early morning hours, Marie Cianciosi of Longmont CO passed away peacefully and was welcomed into Heaven after enjoying a long and rewarding 92 years.
Born in Binghamton, NY to Filomena and Saverio Liberto, Marie and her husband of 57 years, moved from the Binghamton area and lived in Boca Raton FL, Rochester MN, Austin TX, Boulder CO, and settled in Longmont in 1996.
Marie last attended North High School in Binghamton. Her early employment was working the lunch counter at Woolworths and for IBM as a Key Punch Operator, before turning her focus to full time wife, homemaker and mother after her first child was born. She was a mother who adored and cared for her family and children.
Marie loved to travel with her family, meeting new people and enjoying new experiences. She loved music, culture and laughter.
Marie was a devout Catholic, accepted all of Christ’s sacraments, and raised her family the same way.
For a period, she was a member of the Boulder Elks with her husband.
Marie is survived by her two children, Nick (Groveland FL) and Robert (Longmont CO) and their wives Barbara and Gladys respectively. Grandchildren Gisele Bermudez (Argentina), Kevin Bermudez (Longmont), Caroline Bustos and great grand children Lilah, Landon, and Lukas (Groveland FL). Cousins, nieces and nephews, who she kept up with, adored and kept in her thoughts and prayers.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mario (2012), mother and father, brothers Joe and Sam Liberto. In laws mother and father, Nicolas and Angelina Cianciosi and brother and sister in laws Ugo and Lee Cianciosi.
Marie will rest in peace at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery in a vault with her dear husband Mario. Memorial will be a private family gathering at a future date.
