Rhonda Jo Waddill

PEKIN ~ Rhonda Jo Waddill, 70, of Pekin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Hallmark HealthCare of Pekin.She was born on December 3, 1955 in Pekin, a daughter of Raymond Leroy and Hazel (Haynes) Fleming.She is survived by her son, William (Amanda) Waddill, Jr. of Zurich, Switzerland; one granddaughter, Alexandria Waddill; two brothers, Joe (Laura) Fleming of Wyoming and Johnnie Fleming of Glasford.Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Katherine Waddill.Rhonda graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Corrections in 1978. After working as a stay at home mother for over 15 years, Rhonda worked a variety of jobs in Florida and Illinois, including real estate, legal, and for Tazewell County.Rhonda enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, puzzles, cooking, and was an avid reader. She liked watching old westerns and shopping, especially for shoes.Her memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in rural Glasford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Illinois CancerCare Foundation.
