BELLEVUE ~ Ricky “Rick” Allen Hertz, 66, of Bellevue, passed away at 1:48 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.He was born on March 20, 1960 in Peoria to Jacob C. and Judith Ann (Williams) Hertz. His parents preceded him in death as well as one daughter, Ashley Lewis Hertz and one sister, Renee Williams.Surviving are three children, Emily Hertz of Mapleton, Eric Hertz of Peoria and Joshua Carrell; four siblings, Mark Hertz of Norwood, Melonie Gordon of Pekin, Ronda Prather of Pekin and Kathy Jo Hertz of Bartonville and many nieces and nephews.Rick loved to make people smile. He didn’t like to be serious, he was constantly cracking jokes and trying to keep the people he cared about happy.A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
