Scott E. Foust, Sr., 68, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his sons at his bedside. He most recently resided in a nursing home in Peoria.
Born to Erston Foust and Anna Mae (Hilton) Foust, Scott built a life centered on family, loyalty, and simple joys. He married the love of his life, Nola Smith, on September 14, 1981, and together they raised two sons, Scott E. Foust, Jr. (Tammy) of Pekin and Christopher Foust (Kristin) of Pekin, who were his pride and joy.
Scott was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nola; his parents; his step-parents; and his brother, Al.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his sons; his cherished grandchildren, Katniss, Bentley, Blakleigh, Brayson, Brecklynn, and Beau; and his sister, Christy.
Scott found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—camping trips, quiet days fishing, the companionship of his dog Bruno, and relaxing with a cold drink in hand.
Cremation was entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Scott’s life.
